Routine features of good maths lessons

I have tried to make a usable summary of things to strive for everyday in lessons, routinely doing these will mean students are getting an excellent deal and people assessing lessons should be happy. Features of good maths teaching

Here is an adapted version of an extract from the "Understanding the score" booklet produced by the Govt. It lists features of good and satisfactory maths lessons (although a lot are generic teaching skills) and I have inserted an extra column in the middle. We have used this to try to identify what can happen differently in the classroom that will mean that more of the skills in the good column are addressed more commonly.
